Avast Show Last Popup

I have also had popups on my computer tell me that it was time to update Avast!, telling me that my version was obsolete.

These popups are fake, and can show up on a clean computer, so long as it is running Avast! I will post images and links to more info if i find any of the above.This is one reason I turn off ALL automatic updates. The only one I keep on is WinDOZE, I set to 'notify me but don't dl or install' If I get any prompts to 'update now' or 'install update now' or 'upgrade now' etc. I know they're fake. Set up a regular schedule to update AV & ASW progs manually & use an update checker. I use FileHippo's UDC & Secunia PSI.Edited by UnionThug, 11 July 2010 - 12:48 PM.
